The Mallacoota Arts Council was pleased to announce the results of the 2010 E J Brady Short Story Competition at an afternoon reading, at the home of June and Michael Drake in Mallacoota, on Sunday October 31.

Short Story Category (under 2500 words)

The winner in this category was 'The Morning News', by Ron Iddon of Toowoomba East, Qld.

Very Short Story Category (under 700 words)

The winner in this category was 'Cenotaph', by Karen Lethlean of Heathcote, NSW.

The Tom Donovan Encouragement Award

This award went to 'Leaving Kathmandu', by David Francis of Fitzroy, Vic.

MAC's Writing Prize Winners featured in Anthology

Award Winning Australian Writing 2009 has published an anthology of Australia's best stories which was launched on Friday August 21, 2009 at the Festival Club, Federation Square, Melbourne.
